My roommate is moving out at the end of the summer. Being the generally anxious person that I am, I decided to start looking for a roommate NOW so I can find one by spring. I’ve asked around, but I don’t know anyone who needs a place.
I posted on the university’s housing message board, and so far I have received two responses:
1. One girl responded who is four years younger than me. I know this because I stalked her on Facebook. In her message, she said she does not “drink, smoke, or party.” I don’t know if she said this because I listed myself as a graduate student, but after reading it, I decided to change the ad to say “Roommate must drink, smoke, and party.” (Just kidding.) I decided not to respond to this person.
2. Another girl responded who is just two years younger than I am. After stalking HER on Facebook, I discovered that she rides horses competitively. I decided to respond to her because she could potentially entertain me with activities. I like activities. I rode horses once when I was 8 and once when I was 9 and both times my ass hurt for like two weeks after but I am willing to give it another try.
I guess if I don’t have luck with the message boards, I will post on Craigslist. My house is the absolute best, really. I can walk to class in five minutes and to any bar in town in ten minutes or less. I HAVE ALL THE APPLIANCES YOU COULD WANT. Any suggestions on finding a roommate who is not crazy and who I could potentially want to hang out with?
